A 46-year-old woman complained of blurred and distorted vision in both eyes. Ophthalmic examination showed that visual acuity was 20/200 for the right eye and counting fingers left eye. Fundoscopy revealed perimacular hemorrhages, aneurismal dilatation of the vessels in the posterior pole, and a white and elevated lesion adjacent to vascular changes. We report a case of idiopathic macular telangiectasia and epiretinal membrane that occurs concomitantly. To our knowledge, this is the first report that describes an association between idiopathic macular telangiectasia and epiretinal membrane formation.

Introdução: O isolamento social ocasionado pela pandemia de Covid-19 trouxe diversos fatores que podem contribuir para alterações na saúde mental dos indivíduos. Dentre os grupos vulneráveis ao desenvolvimento de alterações na condição de saúde mental os idosos são destaque. Objetivo: Compreender como o isolamento social devido a Covid-19 influenciou na saúde mental dos idosos. Métodos: Tratou-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. A questão que norteou o estudo foi: Como está a saúde mental dos idosos perante o distanciamento social em tempos de Covid-19? Conclusão: A saúde mental dos idosos está em constante sofrimento neste período de pandemia causada pela Covid-19. Dentro das questões psicológicas os estudos citam que os idosos estão sofrendo problemas relacionados a depressão, ansiedade, mudanças de humor, sono e memória.
