A note on purchasing power parity and the choice of price index

Abstract: Segundo o argumento de Paridade do Poder de Compra, o poder de compra das moedas deveria ser o mesmo entre as economias para uma mesma cesta de bens comerciáveis. Neste artigo promovemos uma competição entre seis diferentes indíces de preços para investigar qual deles apresenta maior evidência de PPC, melhor satisfazendo, portanto, esse critério.
