Editorial note

Abstract

The Association of the Brazilian Journal of Biology is now officially established and more than 100 participants are now the first associates. This will enable the International Institute of Ecology to maintain a scientific publication of the highest level aimed at the preservation an discussion of research results on the Biology of Neotropics. The IIE is now in full negotiations with international book selers to distribute the Journal worldwide. This, together with the new indexation proposals will increase the impact factor of the publication as wall as will help to disseminate the journal to a wide international audience.
