Abstract:Syntypes of Corydoras meridionalis Rodolpho von Ihering, 1911, once regarded as lost, were recently found in the collection of fishes of the Museu de Zoologia da USP. The syntypes had been identified as C. ehrhardti Steindachner, 1910, currently considered a senior synonym of that species.
