Estudo anatômico para localização do óleo em raiz de Vetiveria zizanioides (L.) Nash

Abstract: O presente estudo anatômico da raiz de Vetiveria zizanioides (L.) Nash. teve por finalidade determinar a localização do óleo essencial. Para tal estudo foram preparadas lâminas de raízes de diversas idades; constatou-se que o óleo, na sua quase totalidade, encontra-se na camada de células anexas ao endoderma. As células do parênquima cortical que antecedem a referida camada apresentam óleo em pequena quantidade. No cilindro central não foi constatada existência alguma de gotículas de óleo.
