Abstract:Tivemos a oportunidade de avaliar quatro pacientes membros de uma mesma família, provenientes de um matrimônio consanguíneo, todos com paraplegia espástica familiar, que apresentavam comprometimento generalizado do sistema nervoso central e periférico, este último evidenciado por exames eletromiográficos e mediante biópsia de músculos e nervos.Pela raridade da patologia básica e falta de estudo no sistema nervoso periférico e músculos, acreditamos ser oportuno este relato.
