Abstract:Background: The term inflammatory bowel disease-unclassified (IBDU) is used when an individual has chronic colitis but cannot be sub-typed into ulcerative colitis (UC) or Crohn’s disease (CD) on the basis of the clinical, endoscopic, imaging and histopathological features.
