“…Majority of the included studies were conducted for eyes without advanced PVR (Grade C or worse), whereas 2 studies were performed on eyes with PVR or high risk of PVR. 14,20 In addition, there was a nonsignificant tendency that phakic patients were not treated with PPV alone (OR, 0.57; 95% CI, 0.31-1.05; P = 0.07). Figure 3 shows the results of meta-analysis for the primary and final reattachment rates by PPV + SB compared with those by PPV alone.…”

“…16 Başka bir çalışmada değişik derecelerde PVR olan hastalarda PPV'ye skleral çökertme eklenmesinin anatomik başarıya katkısının olmadığı, ayrıca sadece PPV yapılan hastalarda daha iyi görsel sonuçlar elde edildiği belirtilmiştir. 17 Bizim çalışmamızda birinci cerrahi sonunda sadece PPV yapılan hastalarda anatomik başarı oranı %87,5, kombine cerrahi yapılanlarda ise %92,6 olarak saptanmıştır. Bu fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildi.…”
