“…The first descriptions and records of Peruvian terrestrial isopods date back to the second half of the 19 th century (Miers, 1877;Budde-Lund, 1885), based on study material collected by foreign scientific expeditions. The richness of this group of crustaceans had a gradual increase in the last two centuries until reaching a total of 24 species, a figure that in turn is very low compared to other countries in South America, such as Brazil, whose species register approximately 192 (Campos-Filho et al, 2020).…”
