Swallowing and feeding outcomes associated with orotracheal intubation and tracheostomy in pediatrics

Abstract: Purpose To verify the swallowing and feeding outcomes of pediatric patients undergoing prolonged OTI, considering those who progressed to tracheostomy afterward. Methods Retrospective cohort study, carried out by analyzing the medical records of patients admitted to the Pediatric ICU and followed up until hospital discharge, between 03/2017 and 12/2018.
