Anti-corruption Law and Systemic Corruption: The Role of Direct Responses

Abstract: Recent discussions of systemic corruption have cast doubt on the effectiveness of direct legal responses, that is to say, responses that involve the enforcement of explicit legal prohibitions on corrupt activity.
