Nijmegen Cochlear Implantation Questionnaire (NCIQ): tradução, adaptação cultural e aplicação em adultos usuários de implante coclear

Abstract: Purpose: Cross-cultural adaptation and translation of the Nijmegen Cochlear Implant Questionnaire (NCIQ) into Brazilian Portuguese and analysis of quality of life (QoL) results in adults with cochlear implant (CI). Methods: The NCIQ instrument was translated into Brazilian Portuguese and culturally adapted. It can be stated that only the SRQ had significance because the test was easier, presented in an audible sound pressure level, compatible with the audiometry, in a sound booth without any background noise -i.e., a condition ideal for conversation, easier for comprehension.…”
