Este artigo examina o esforço realizado por Wolfgang Schluchter no sentido de mostrar que um determinado erro de Max Weber conduziu a um grande acerto - em razão de ter sido produzido nos marcos de uma perspectiva metateórica que conduz erros a acertos, a perspectiva "histórico-desenvolvimental" (Entwicklungsgeschichte).
