Abstract: Resumen En este trabajo presentamos una visión en conjunto de la historia de los artesanos en seis ciudades hispanoamericanas en un período extenso: Bogotá, Buenos Aires, La Paz, Lima, México y Santiago de Chile desde el último tramo del siglo XVIII hasta fines del XIX.
