Abstract:Resumo A série fotográfica Quito a la vista, de José Domingo Laso Acosta, retrata os principais pontos turísticos da cidade em 1911. Entretanto, por meio de intervenções nos negativos fotográficos, Laso literalmente apagou a presença indígena das paisagens da cidade. A partir da noção de vida nua (Agamben), analisa-se a relação entre arte, política e direito na fotografia de Laso: a fotografia como correlato iconográfico do olhar soberano da época.
