Do laypersons perceive aesthetic differences between coated and uncoated orthodontic archwires?

Abstract: Introduction: Aesthetic brackets are routinely combined with metallic wires in fixed orthodontic therapy, mainly due to the disadvantages of the clinical use of aesthetic archwires.
