Eriocaulaceae na Reserva Natural da Vale, Linhares, Espírito Santo, Brasil

Abstract: ResumoEriocaulaceae compreende aproximadamente 1400 espécies distribuídas em dez gêneros. Apesar da maior parte dos estudos taxonômicos na família se concentrarem na Cadeia do Espinhaço, as áreas de restinga possuem uma grande diversidade de espécies. “…Eriocaulon ligulatum , Leiothrix hirsuta , L. rufula , Paepalanthus calvescens , P. caparoensis , P. globosus , P. macropodus , and Syngonanthus caulescens did not previously have their distribution attributed to the state (Flora do Brasil 2020 under construction). Syngonanthus restingensis had its distribution known only from sand dunes of Bahia and Rio de Janeiro (Hensold et al 2012), however, while Silva & Trovó (2016) only found the occurrence of this species in the Vale Natural Reserve (ES), this study also recorded this species in Vale Natural Reserve and, for the first time, in the Paulo César Vinha State Park. Currently, only P. capixaba and P. macaheensis are listed as endangered (CNCFlora 2019), however, only 68 of 634 Brazilian Eriocaulaceae species have conservation status assessments, so it is possible that more species are threatened.…”
