Abstract:The objective of the present study was to transpose sperm freezing methodology from domestic goat to the Tadjik markhor (
Capra falconeri heptneri
) and to address the feasibility to develop IVP and artificial insemination using such frozen semen. Semen of different adult markhor males were successfully recovered by electro-ejaculation and were then frozen using caprine methodology.
