Objective: This study attempts to identify and describe the concept of care for women suffering marital violence as perceived by nurses working in Family Health Strategy units. Methods: This descriptive study with a qualitative approach was carried with 17 nurses of Family Health Strategy units in a municipality from the Bahia State, Brazil. Data was collected by means of semi-structured interviews and later submitted to content analysis. Results: For the interviewees, caring for women suffering marital violence involves receiving them and working with the multiprofessional team. The nurses received these women and sought to resolve their complaints. Nevertheless, the women's silence, counter-reference and inadequate professional training were difficulties pointed out by the participants. Conclusion: The professional qualification provides the resignification of the care for women suffering from marital violence, aiming at the integrality.

Objective: to ascertain the nurses' understanding of the Family Health Strategy about the care network for women in situations of domestic violence. Method: qualitative, descriptive-exploratory study, conducted with eight nurses from Family Health Units. The semi-structured interview was used to collect data and to analyze the content analysis technique. Results: nurses' lack of knowledge about the existence of the network, limited preparation to deal with domestic violence against women and lack of articulation of services seen as obstacles in solving the problem of domestic violence against women. Conclusion: rethinking the articulation of the care network for women in situations of violence and nurses who work at the gateway with users, also the need to build spaces for dialogue with professionals, services and the population, in order to strengthen services for the networking, with a view to comprehensive care for women in situations of violence.

Objetivo: conhecer a atuação da enfermeira nas Estratégias Saúde da Família frente à violência contra as mulheres. Método: pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva, realizada em Estratégias Saúde da Família de um município do Rio Grande do Sul, em 2017. Realizaram-se entrevistas semiestruturadas e aplicação de vinheta com enfermeiras, e os dados analisados à proposta operativa de Minayo. Resultados: o vínculo, o acolhimento e a notificação compulsória constituíram fatores importantes para a atuação junto às mulheres em situação de violência. A falta de abordagem do tema na formação acadêmica e profissional e a desarticulação da rede de atenção foram identificadas como condições que dificultam à atenção. Conclusão: essa investigação aponta para a necessidade de discussões da temática nos espaços acadêmicos e nos serviços e a integração e articulação da rede de atenção.
