This research aimed to identify what are the factors that lead university students to the intention of using applications offered by educational institutions, through a study of students who already have the educational application installed. The applications offer facilities such as the search of collections, reservations and loans in the library, access to class schedule, among other options. A survey was performed with 133 students who used the educational application studied and the analysis was developed by structural equation models. The results show that the aid in the daily academic activities, the provided hedonic motivations and the habit positively influence the intention of use. The technical part involved in this procedure (download, installation and search for information) and the influence of other people did not influence use. The study broadens the understanding of the aspects related to educational applications, thus enabling the use of its results to make decisions on the provision and development of apps for this purpose.

The increase and flexibilization of e-learning in Brazil has generated concern about the low capacity to ensure the quality of institutions and courses. The objective is to identify the literature on experiences of pharmaceutical e-learning. A scope review was carried out, mapping key concepts and evidence. The selected articles, without period restriction, from the Scielo, Pubmed and Scopus databases provided data on the educational level of experience, modality, workload, content delivery method, instruments used, types of topics, evaluation information and purpose of the study. There were 87 articles on preparation for subsequent classes; feedback or continuation of previous classes; to specific training; the comparison between face-to-face and distance education modalities; and distance learning. Among the subjects treated, 51.8% involved pharmaceutical clinic and 42.5% basic science. Positive student assessment was found in more than 92% of cases. Isolation, and deficits in social and analytical skills were negative points. Technology infrastructure can impact learning. In Brazil, the health area has manifested opposition to the use of distance education in undergraduate studies. There is no evidence on the organization of undergraduate distance courses, but there are elements indicating risks to the results of training and development of professional skills in this modality.

ResumoO artigo trata da primeira parte da pesquisa que originou a dissertação intitulada "Educação a distância (EaD), bibliotecas polo e o acesso informacional" disponibilizado aos alunos dessa modalidade de ensino. Aborda as seguintes questões: como as Bibliotecas Universitárias e/ou os Sistemas de Bibliotecas -poderão apoiar as bibliotecas dos polos de apoio presencial, onde a instituição oferece cursos na modalidade a distância? Como oferecer o apoio e o acesso informacional científico aos alunos da EaD? Como assegurar que os alunos da EaD recebam os recursos informacionais necessários às suas atividades de pesquisa e extensão? Como procedimento metodológico a pesquisa consta de duas etapas sendo a primeira delas objeto deste artigo. O artigo relata a pesquisa realizada in loco nas bibliotecas dos polos com a finalidade de verificar os recursos informacionais que os alunos têm à sua disposição, comparando-os com a bibliografia básica dos cursos dessa modalidade. Pode-se concluir, por meio da análise e observação dos dados, que o material bibliográfico dos polos, comparado à bibliografia básica dos cursos, não atende às demandas necessárias dos usuários e ao ideal de uma biblioteca. A primeira parte deste estudo é também caracterizada como pesquisa-ação, e seus resultados foram apresentados à Instituição pesquisada. The research is exploratory and uses both qualitative and quantitative approaches as methodological procedures to collect dada. It addresses the following questions: How the University Libraries could support the libraries in distance education poles? How to offer support and information access to distance education students? And how to ensure that distance education students receive the information resources required for their research activities?The methodology consisted of two phases, the first of which is the object of this article. The article reports the research conducted on-site in the polo libraries in order to verify the information resources that students have at their disposal, comparing them with the basic bibliography of this modality courses. Data shows that the bibliographies at the polos when compared to basic bibliography of the courses do not meet the required demands of users and the ideal of a library. The first part of this study is also characterized as research action, and its results have been presented to the institution.
