Childhood body image: a school investigation with focus groups

Abstract: For Cash and Smolak, body image refers to the multidimensional construct of the mental representation of the body, permeated by comparisons and internalizations. This study aimed to analyze possible influences of sociocultural factors: media, family, and friends, on body image.
