“…Cerebral palsy (CP) is caused by a non-progressive brain lesion that occurs before, during, or soon after birth, leading to abnormal posture and muscle tone, motor limitations, and intellectual disabilities (Case-Smith & O’Brien, 2014; Rassafiani & Sahaf, 2011). Children with CP experience a wide set of cognitive and motor dysfunctions, which can impact on their participation in important life activities, including school participation (Tavares Netto et al, 2020), leisure and play (Ghaffari et al, 2020; Longo et al, 2020), activities of daily living (Østensjø et al, 2004), social interaction (Tan et al, 2020), and self-care (Öhrvall et al, 2010).
