Pattern of anxiety, insecurity, fear, panic and/or phobia observed by quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG)

Abstract: Stress is a response in which an individual wants to have more control over a situation. A constant state of stress is called anxiety. Some patients deny symptoms. An instrument can help arrive at a diagnosis. Objective:Using TQ-7 QEEG, this study aimed to evaluate the association of symptoms of anxiety, insecurity, fear, panic and phobia with hot temporals defined as Beta (15-23 Hz) >17% and High-Beta waves (23-38 Hz) >10% at T3 and T4.Methods:Five hundred and forty-three patients of both genders with ages ran… Show more

“…On the other hand, the correlation between Hβ GPS and pain intensity (VAS d ) was only at the edge of significance, whereas VAS d was positively correlated with HAD anx . Interestingly, emerging data suggest that Hβ GPS could possibly be related to anxiety and similar mood disorders, pointing out rather an increase of β oscillations in this context (Roohi-Azizi et al, 2017;Ribas et al, 2018). In contrast, our data failed to show that the correlation between Hβ GPS and HAD anx .…”

“…Greater fear of COVID-19 and higher boredom were positively correlated with higher anxiety and anger, consistent with several previous studies showing that anger and anxiety were associated with the fear of getting a disease [27,42,43] and boredom [44][45][46].…”

“…Thus, the link between nodal CCs in DMN-related regions and state and trait anxiety suggests more negative internalized attention in patients with BD 15 . Furthermore, the high beta band frequency domain has been shown to be related to anxiety 75,76 . The altered DMN activity in the beta frequency band was repeatedly observed in patients with BD [49][50][51] .…”
