Abstract:RESUMO O artigo investiga a Federação dos Homens de Cor (FHC) - uma associação cuja finalidade principal era trabalhar pelo desenvolvimento moral, cultural, político e social dos afro-brasileiros -, fundada em São Paulo em 1909, mas que se transferiu para o Rio de Janeiro em 1920.
