Statistical Control of the Process Applied to the Monitoring of the Water Quality Index

Abstract: Analyzing the physical-chemical and biological characteristics allows the evaluation of the water quality of a water body. Thus, the objective of this study was to determine the water quality index of the Passaúna and Piraquara rivers, as well as to apply statistical quality control methodologies to evaluate the data resulting from the monitoring of water quality. Therefore, a database with physico-chemical and microbiological parameters of the Passaúna and Piraquara rivers, a watershed of the Iguaçu River, be… Show more

“…Generally, very small events can be considered infiltrated and indicated for groundwater recharge (Pangle et al, 2022). In contrast, common events are the most used for designing water quality control structures (Conceição et al, 2018;Aguiar et al, 2019;Lu et al, 2022). Consistency can be observed between the analyses carried out by Rivard (2010) and those obtained in this study, which had a percentage of occurrence of 4.7% for rainfall in the range of 30 to 35 mm in the municipality of Piracicaba, for example.…”

“…At the macro level, studies have generally monitored water quality parameters [58][59][60][61]. At the urban level, studies have been conducted to identify pipe leaks and assess repair response times [62,63]. At the building level, Freitas et al [64] studied water consumption in a university building using water-saving devices.…”
