Biologia De Anofelinos Amazônicos. XXL Ocorrrência De Espécies De Anopheles E Outros Culicídeos Na Área De Influência Da Hidrelétrica De Balbina - Cinco Anos Após O Enchimento Do Reservatório

Rodovia BR-174, 2. Show more

“…We detected a uniform behavior of anophelines, with peaks above the tolerance range during flooding months due to high rainfall rates. This finding is consistent with the study by Quintero et al (1996), who observed an increase in the population of anophelines during flooding periods after the formation of the reservoir of the Balbina Hydroelectric Plant in the Amazonas state, Brazil. It is important to highlight the great heterogeneity of the Anophelinae among the collection sampling sites, a finding similar to that of Martins et al (2018).…”

“…darlingi is generally bimodal, occurring at the beginning of dusk and at dawn 37 , 38 . However, patterns of biting activity can be influenced by location, vector density, seasonality, presence of hosts, types of houses and the distance between dwellings and the forest 16 , 21 , 34 , 39 . The biting activity in our areas of study was constant during the whole night, though more activity was registered at dusk.…”
