A New Prenylisoflavone from the Antifungal Extract of Leaves of Vatairea guianensis Aubl.

“…12 Previous phytochemical investigations involving various parts of V. guianensis have shown compounds belonging to the anthraquinone, triterpene and isoflavone classes. [13][14][15][16] The present paper reports the isolation and structural characterization by spectroscopic and spectrometric methods of a new compound, named 5,7,3'-trihydroxy-4'-methoxy-8-prenylisoflavone (3), along with other two known isoflavones lupiwighteone (1) and 5,7,4'-trihydroxy-3'-methoxy-8-prenylisoflavone (2) (Figure 1).
