Abstract: RESUMO:Por meio de observações fenotípi-cas, em condições de infestação natural e com o uso de inoculações artificiais, avaliou-se a resistência de plantas de bertalha (Basella alba L. syn. B rubra) ao ataque de nematóides formadores de galhas, pertencentes ao complexo Meloidogyne. Duas linhas, classificadas como resistentes (R), constituíram o material selecionado.
