Village Ornaments: Familiarization and Pets as Art(ifacts) in Amazonia

Abstract: The objective of this article is to discuss some reasons the Karitiana (Rondônia, Brazil) evoke to explain their ever-present desire to maintain familiarized or domesticated animals in their villages.
