Abstract:Paratrechina fulva (Mayr) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) was observed tending Cerataphis brasiliensis, Hempel (Hemiptera: Aphididae) aphids on Australian Royal Palm and scales (Hemiptera: Pseudoccidae) on Chinese Windmill Palm. In both cases first stage nymphs were recorded being carried by ant workers. Young scales were seen taken into the ant nest.
