The bee genus Austrosphecodes Michener, 1978 comprises 29 obligatory cleptoparasitic species distributed from Chile to Mexico. Currently, three species are known to occur in Brazil, Austrosphecodes brasiliensis (Schrottky, 1910), A. inornatus (Schrottky, 1902), and A. minarum (Schrottky, 1910). Here, we describe nine new species, Austrosphecodes asmodeus sp. nov., A. balrog sp. nov., A. cerberus sp. nov., A. gorgon sp. nov., A. jurupari sp. nov., A. krampus sp. nov., A. lucifer sp. nov., A. orcus sp. nov., and A. tartarus sp. nov. An identification key for the 12 known species from Brazil is presented. Specimens of A. asmodeus sp. nov. and A. brasiliensis were observed near nest aggregations of Caenohalictus incertus (Schrottky, 1902) in Curitiba (State of Paraná).

Se presenta la composición de especies de abejas en seis localidades de la Reserva Ecológica Sierra de La Güira, Pinar del Río. Las observaciones y recolectas se realizaron entre los años 2013 y 2019, en las siguientes formaciones vegetales: bosque semideciduo, pinares, vegetación secundaria y vegetación ruderal. Se registraron 42 especies, correspondientes a 21 géneros y cuatro familias. Las especies endémicas representaron el 26.2 % y se destacan los nuevos registros de Hylaeus royesi y Megachile droegei, ampliándose su distribución hacia Cuba occidental. Se analizó la distribución de las abejas en algunas formaciones vegetales, encontrándose que la vegetación secundaria y el bosque semideciduo albergaron el mayor número de especies.

We diagnose, describe and illustrate three new species of Microsphecodes Eickwort and Stage, all from the nominate subgenus: M. peckorum Graham and Packer n. sp. from Venezuela, M. fernandoi Graham and Packer n. sp. from French Guiana, and M. septentrionalis Graham and Packer n. sp. from Guatemala. The latter extends the known range of the subgenus further north by approximately 500 km. We provide an updated, illustrated, key to the species of Microsphecodes s.str.
