Analyzing the neuropsychological characteristics and changes in serum markers of patients with chronic cerebral circulation insufficiency

Abstract: CCCI patients who are accompanied by minor depressive disorder have different degrees of cognitive impairment and experience a significant rise in serum CRP, S100B, MBP, HSP-70 and NSE.

“…Patients with recurrent cerebral ischemia will have their own neurological function affected. Serum MBP, S100β, and NSE are specific indicators of neurological function evaluation, and the levels are positively correlated with the severity of the disease [19,20]. Recently, cerebral blood flow of patients with TIA is relatively abnormal, mainly manifested as increased resistance, and both cerebral blood flow and 6 Journal of Healthcare Engineering velocity have a downward trend.…”

“…However, no significant difference was found in serum S‐100β levels between patients with post‐stroke depression and patients without post‐stroke depression. In fact, there is still controversy about the relationship between serum S‐100β levels and depression 35–37 . Although anxiety disorder and depression disorder have overlapping biological mechanisms such as decreased serotonin levels in the brain, the changes of neurotransmitters in the brain are not completely consistent 38–40 .…”

“…In fact, there is still controversy about the relationship between serum S-100β levels and depression. [35][36][37] Although anxiety disorder and depression disorder have overlapping biological mechanisms such as decreased serotonin levels in the brain, the changes of neurotransmitters in the brain are not completely consistent. [38][39][40] Depression disorder is associated with decreased levels of dopamine and norepinephrine, 41,42 while anxiety disorder is associated with increased levels of these substances.…”

“…Modern medicine believes that chronic cerebral insufficiency is the pre-stage of cerebral infarction and is closely related to various diseases such as vascular dementia and Alzheimer. [1] According to statistics, about 80% of the elderly over 75 will have varying degrees of chronic cerebral insufficiency, and those over 60 will generally appear. [2] Currently, modern medicine's treatment of CCCI patients mainly focuses on controlling the underlying disease, expanding blood vessels, improving cerebral circulation, nourishing the brain nerves, and failing to achieve satisfactory therapeutic effects.…”
