Introdução: A síndrome de Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT), também conhecida como atrofia fibular muscular é uma neuropatia hereditária motora e sensitiva com diferentes características genéticas, podendo ser de forma autossômica recessiva, dominante ou ligada ao cromossomo X. Possui rara prevalência, afetando aproximadamente 3 milhões de pessoas no mundo. Apresentação do Caso: Paciente do sexo masculino de 27 anos de idade, deu entrada no PS em surto psicótico. Discussão: As primeiras manifestações clínicas costumam a aparecer no final da infância, adolescência e começo da vida adulta, onde inicialmente são leves, moderados ou graves. O objetivo do presente estudo é relatar um caso sobre a Síndrome de Charcot-Marie-Tooth; expor e discutir a evolução clínica da paciente e comparar os dados do caso com os da literatura. Os pacientes com CMT apresentam, principalmente, fraqueza progressiva, levando a hipotrofia e a deformidades, como o pé cavo e dedos em garra. Além disso, nota-se que desenvolvem compensações devido a perda de equilíbrio e hipotrofia muscular, como marcha sobre as pontas dos pés e aumento do risco de quedas. Ao comparar este caso com os da literatura, nota-se que o diagnóstico tardio pode refletir no prognóstico dos pacientes, sendo de fundamental importância a identificação precoce das alterações biomecânicas. Conclusão: Devido a raridade da CMT, não há tratamento específico, mas medidas terapêuticas multidisciplinares são capazes de proporcionar um excelente prognóstico, aumentando a qualidade de vida dos pacientes.
