Women in politics in Brazil: inclusion and political capital of female federal deputies

Abstract: This study aims to verify the factors that influence and make the insertion of women in Brazilian politics difficult. The theoretical framework focused on inclusion in politics and political capital, and a descriptive qualitative study was conducted. The data were collected by semi-structured interviews with eight federal deputies in Brazil, elected in 2018, and the themathic analysis was used to examine the data.
