Molecular detection and phylogenetic analysis of Trypanosoma spp. in Neotropical primates from Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil

Abstract: Trypanosoma spp. infection is a problem in many tropical countries, infecting several animal species, including humans. The aim of the present study was to identify the Trypanosoma species in Neotropical primates from Rio de Janeiro state and compare the results with other reports both phylogenetically and geographically.
