American visceral leishmaniasis in a state of northeastern Brazil: clinical, epidemiological and laboratory aspects

Abstract: In Brazil, American visceral leishmaniasis (AVL) has become a public health concern due to its high incidence and lethality. This study aimed to analyze the clinical, epidemiological, and laboratory aspects of AVL in a state of Brazil.
