Febre maculosa no Brasil: estudo da mortalidade para a vigilância epidemiológica

Abstract: Resumo Febre maculosa é uma doença infecciosa caracterizada por febre, leves e típicas até graves, a qual, quando não tratada adequadamente, pode apresentar taxa de letalidade de 85%. Causada pela Rickettsia rickettsii, é transmitida através da saliva de carrapato. No Brasil, o vetor mais importante é o Amblyomma cajennense.
