Prevention of etomidate-induced myoclonus during anesthetic induction by pretreatment with dexmedetomidine

Abstract: Myoclonus induced by etomidate during induction of general anesthesia is undesirable. This study evaluated the effect of dexmedetomidine (DEX) pretreatment on the incidence and severity of etomidate-induced myoclonus.
