Comparison of beriberi cases in indigenous and non-indigenous people, Brazil, 2013 to 2018

Abstract: Beriberi is the clinical manifestation of severe and prolonged thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency. It is a neglected disease that affects low-income populations facing food and nutrition insecurity.
