Abstract: Resumo Com o fim de investigar qual o ideário de palhaço que circula no cenário hospitalar, o presente artigo resgata a ancestralidade da figura do palhaço de hospitais, avalia sua formação profissional e tematiza seu papel na contemporaneidade.
