X-ray line profile analysis and magnetic and optical properties of FexZn0.95-xCr0.05O nanoparticles fabricated by sol-gel route

Abstract: Fe x Zn 0.95-x Cr 0.05 O nanoparticles have been obtained for the different concentrations of Fe ions by using the sol-gel method. The hexagonal wurtzite structure of all the samples was confirmed by Rietveld refined X-ray diffraction patterns. The addition of Fe ions decreased lattice constants a and c from 3.2487 to 3.2474 Å and 5.2043 to 5.2029 Å, respectively. Uniform deformation, uniform stress deformation, and uniform deformation energy density models were assumed to obtain the crystallite size and strai… Show more

“…Moreover, from the XRD patterns, the dislocation density (δ, line m ‐2 ) and the micro‐strain (ε) in the crystal structure of our samples were determined via Eq. 2 [ 17 ] and Eq. 3 (based on Williamson‐Hall method [ 18 ] ), respectively.…”

“…The benefit of this method is that the little significance is given to the results obtained from higher reflection angles. This approximation considers that the size profile described from Lorentzain function while as the strain profile by Gaussian function [27] and the relation is given by;…”
