Abstract: Diagnosis of bacteriuria in veterinary medicine is commonly based on unstained urinary sediment evaluation. Nonetheless, amorphous particles can be confused with bacteria. This study aims to investigate whether the stained sediment increases the sensitivity and specificity of bacteriuria detection.
