Diante das dificuldades de aprendizagem dos alunos das escolas estaduais potiguares, agravada por adversidades socio econômica e cultural como a falta de professores e de condição financeira para frequentar curso preparatório para o Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem), além de estrutura precária em muitas escolas; como forma de reforço, a 12ª Diretoria Regional de Educação do Rio Grande do Norte (12ª DIREC) apoiada pelo Governo do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte por meio da Secretaria Estadual de Educação e Cultura (SEEC) idealizou o 12ª DIRECVEST, um curso presencial e gratuito preparatório para o Enem que utiliza metodologia contemporânea e não tradicional de ensino voltada para realização do Enem a fim de melhor a qualidade do ensino de Física e demais componentes para este exame. O objetivo deste artigo consiste em verificar, estatisticamente, o número de alunos, participantes deste projeto que foram aprovados em cursos universitários públicos e consequentemente a eficiência destas metodologias e iniciativa, além de mapear outros benefícios que possa aparecer no decorrer deste processo. O referencial teórico para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa foi legislações educacionais vigentes do sistema educacional brasileiro e estatística básica. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza exploratória e qualitativa com metodologia alicerçada na análise documental cuidadosa dos registros dos estudantes matriculados neste projeto e aprovados em cursos universitários públicos. Os resultados e discussão revelaram que o 12ª DIRECVEST cumpre seu proposito e além, sendo percebido outros benefícios educacionais e sociais detalhado nesta seção. Espera-se que os achados desta pesquisa possam incentivar outras DIRECs e divulgar esta iniciativa, melhorando o ensino de Física e demais componentes além de fomentar a continuação do financiamento deste projeto.
