Immune Modulating Peptides (IMP) discussed in literature as a universal immunocorrectors with wide areas of usage which balance the immune system without causing global immune suppression or overreaction. The present article aim is to review the effect and drawbacks of IMPs in form of Dialyzable leukocyte Extracts (DLE) or Transfer Factors (TF) during and following chemotherapy, radiotherapy, drugs interactions, cancer response and clinical outcomes in different cases of cancers such as metastatic breast cancer, glioma, prostate cancer, osteosarcoma and others. The considered cases of immune overreaction and IMP's impact include autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis and allergic reactions. The most difficult therapeutic decision is to choose the right treatment for patients with cancer and autoimmune diseases as they both attempt to supervise and control the immune system, managing immune cells in opposite sides. As patients with autoimmune disease experience difficulty to stay in such treatment when immune cells stimulated in order to identify and destroy cancer cells the IMP as immunocorrectors become one of the main and only healthy choices. The universal mechanism of IMPs action and the absence of contraindications extend the indications for their use in pediatric practice. This includes the complex treatment of respiratory viral infections, the possibility of using in frequently ill children with clinical signs of immune dysfunction and acute intestinal infections. According to the reports on safety, absence of adverse and side effects along with positive outcome for patients the IMPs considered as valuable immunocorrector.

The current quality control methods relying mainly on chromogenic reaction can hardly ensure the quality and safety of the biochemical drug with complex chemical composition. Therefore, a chromatographic fingerprint method was developed for the quality evaluation of a multicomponent biochemical drug, transfer factor injection. High-performance liquid chromatography fingerprint was measured by using a C 18 column (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 µm) with a mobile phase composed of 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid-water and 0.085% trifluoroacetic acid-acetonitrile under gradient elution. The developed method was validated and was subsequently applied to 57 batches of commercial products which were sampled by National Drug Assessment Program.High-resolution mass spectrometry analysis was performed on characteristic peaks of fingerprints, and a series of amino acids, nucleosides, and deoxynucleosides were identified. In the fingerprint assessments, principal component analysis and Hotelling T 2 analysis yielded the best results. The results generally indicated that there was a significant difference among products of batch-to-batch or from different manufacturers. Abnormal samples and its discriminatory components were also explored. In summary, the established fingerprinting method with multivariate statistical analysis could offer an efficient, reliable, and practical approach for quality consistency evaluation of transfer factor injection, providing a reference for the quality control of other multicomponent biochemical drugs. Background: Transfer factors (TFs), a novel immunostimulatory reagent, have found use as auxiliary or primary therapy for many diseases. The aim of this study was to explore whether TFs are able to strengthen immune responses of Newcastle Disease (ND) vaccines in broilers.Results: The serum antioxidant status was increased in TF-treatment broilers. TF subcutaneous injection could significantly increase (P < 0.5) the antibody titers at 14 and 21 days of the experiment. Moreover, TF treatment increased development of organs of the immune system, such as spleen, thymus, and bursa of Fabricius through inhibition of apoptosis and promotion of proliferation. Cellular immune responses were found to have higher levels in the groups with TF co-inoculation compared to those groups only treated with the ND vaccine, showing phenomena of higher expressions of interleukin (IL)-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, and interferon (IFN)-γ mRNA in the thymus, spleen, and bursa of Fabricius. Moreover, the immunostimulatory effect of TF subcutaneous injection treatment is better than oral and intramuscular injection.Conclusion: our findings suggest that TF treatment can improve antioxidant status and strengthen immune responses to ND vaccine, including antibody production and cellular immunity (lymphocytes proliferation and cytokines production) of the broilers, and the subcutaneous injection of TF is the appropriate inoculation way. Thus, TFs are a potent adjuvant and can serve as a medicine for immunoregulation.
