In Western European countries and the United States, morbidity and mortality from coronary artery disease (CAD) is about three times higher than cerebrovascular disease. In Brazil, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are responsible for about one third of deaths according to DATASUS. 1,2 This is particularly important considering that as longevity of populations increases, chronic diseases including CVDs become more frequent.Porto Alegre, located in the south of Brazil, is the tenth most populous capital in the country, with an estimated 1,484,941 inhabitants. The primary care system in the city covers areas of high social vulnerability and difficult access to specialized services. Objetivou-se identificar fatores que interferem na adesão ao tratamento da hipertensão arterial e propor estratégias educativas no contexto familiar que contribuam para sua melhoria. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, com pesquisa-ação realizada em uma família vulnerável entre setembro de 2018 a outubro de 2019. Os dados sofreram análise de conteúdo. Os fatores interferentes na adesão ao tratamento eram o conhecimento deficiente, alimentação inapropriada, falhas no uso da medicação e a ausência de atividade física. A avaliação após intervenções apontou melhora do conhecimento familiar sobre a hipertensão e complicações, diminuição do consumo sódico e aumento da adesão à atividade física. As intervenções educativas de seguimento, pactuadas com a família, promoveram reflexões e mudanças no estilo de vida de impacto positivo na adesão ao tratamento anti-hipertensivo.

Background: Information technology that is increasingly developing, especially in the world of health today, makes people more sensitive to the professionalism of nursing care. But in Indonesia itself, against the background of the archipelago, the achievement of professional nursing care still seems to be an obstacle. This condition also resulted in the weak quality of health received, especially for regions that have not been exposed to technological developments. Telenursing is present as an answer to address the health problems of the nursing world as one of the nurses' efforts to help achieve equitable community welfare. Telenursing itself is one of the telecommunications technologies used to provide nursing care using information and data obtained remotely. Purpose: To illustrate the implementation of the use of telenursing through the provision of nursing care by professional nurses that is systematically integrated and focuses on the effectiveness of the results of the applicative telenursing itself. Methods: Literature review is to use PRISMA by examining several online databases that are adapted to the application of telenursing in nursing practice. Results: this shows that the presence of telenursing can help improve more comprehensive access and improve the quality of health services to achieve community welfare. Conclusion: Telenursing must be utilized appropriately and integrated so that the main objective of fulfilling public health, especially for those who are far from health services can be achieved.
