Normative data of Fuld Object Memory Evaluation test for brazilian elderly population

Abstract: Objective This study aims to present normative data for Fuld Object Memory Evaluation test stratified by sex, gender, age, and education for the Brazilian elderly population. “…Previous studies have reported that learning ability worsens as individuals age (Avila, Lopes, Nakano, & Bottino, 2016;Soares et al, 2012). In Avila et al (2016), standards were defined for memory assessment using the Fuld Object Memory Evaluation (that was developed to be less influenced by schooling and can measure learning ability and episodic memory without the use of word lists) and Memory of Figures Test. The results of Avila et al (2016) indicated a significant effect of age, but unlike in the Memory of Figures Test, schooling was also a determining factor in the outcome.…”
