Abstract:Bizarre, purposeless movements and inconsistent findings are typical of conversive gaits. The objective of the present paper is to review some phenomenological aspects of twenty-five consecutive conversive gait disorder patients. Some variants are typical -knees give way-and-recover presentation, monoparetic, tremulous, and slow motion -allowing clinical diagnosis with high precision.Keywords: somatic symptom, conversive gait, neurological examination.
