Alterações na Cobertura do Solo em Teresina, Piauí, Brasil

Abstract: No processo de expansão urbana destacam-se os impactos da perda de cobertura vegetal e da impermeabilização do solo, que representam elementos indicadores da qualidade ambiental urbana. Nas cidades que mantêm seu dinamismo e atratividade, o crescimento desordenado com acelerado processo de aumento populacional associado à ocupação de mais solos, pode ser um problema.
