“…Due to the negative biases from others toward being obese, they may be more dissatisfied with themselves [8]. The psychosocial consequences of obesity, such as dissatisfaction with life, interpersonal problems, or belittlement of one's own body image, can serve as a positive motivation to lose weight, but it can cause depression, linked to the vicious cycle of chronic diseases [16].
