Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To determine the association between low levels of physical activity and consumption of fruits and vegetables among adolescents. METHODS: This cross-sectional study included 2,057 adolescents aged 13 to 18 years from the city of Aracaju, Northeastern Brazil. “…Furthermore, we found that physically inactive students had 45% higher odds of consuming fewer vegetables than active students. A recent study from Brazil has also shown that adolescents who were insufficiently active had a 50% higher chance of consuming fewer vegetables than those who were active (Silva and Silva 2015).
